Many people have expressed concerns about whether the SteppIR antenna would/could survive cold weather and heavy snow or icing conditions. Here are some shots taken in January 2005 after severe icing conditions added about 3 inches of ice on every antenna, wire and cable in my inventory. As you can see, the SteppIR antenna elements are bowed pretty severely. After warming up a bit, the ice and snow fell off, and the antenna bounced right back into perfect shape! So much for THAT question!
